Prishtina Books
Two books for a city in transition — a literary anthology written during quarantine, and a children's coloring book of the capital's landmarks.

In 2020, the Municipality of Prishtina commissioned two publications that together would document a city in transition. The first, 'Prishtinë, muza ime!', was a literary anthology — stories and poems written during the COVID-19 quarantine, contributed by 40 authors and selected by a professional jury. It was conceived as a collective memory of a moment that the city wanted to preserve in writing. The second, 'Coloring Prishtina', reframed the same civic memory for children — turning the city's landmarks, buildings, and street life into illustrated pages to be coloured in.
We treated each book on its own terms. The anthology is calm, restrained, literary — a deep blue cover with a single illustrated seagull carrying the city's skyline inside its silhouette, a quiet metaphor for perspective in confinement. Inside, generous margins, classical typography, and black-and-white photography give the writing room to breathe. The coloring book is its opposite: bright, hand-lettered, playful — a different kind of cultural document, one made for the children who would inherit the city these stories were written about. Both books were produced in collaboration with Dukagjini bookstore and distributed across local channels.
